I haven't been able to indulge in sweets for the last couple of months, due to my gestational diabetes. Those who know me, know that I have a sweet tooth......a very sweet tooth. To my surprise my doctor was all in favor of me having cake for my birthday. When I told her I might have a small piece she said that I should have a big piece.....and as much milk as I wanted!!! She did have to assure me a couple of times that I would not be killing my baby and I eventually trusted her recommendation.
